Meals with Trace Carbs
1. Slow Cooked Meat with Zero Carb Avo Butter
Place a roast or other favorite meat with fresh garlic cloves and spices in a slow cooker or crock pot. Add water or chicken broth, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil/butter.
Cover and slow cook on low 6-8 hours. Remove from slow cooker and slather with a zero carb savory avocado butter.
2. Zero Carb Bright Roasted Spinach & Creamy Parm
Roast the spinach to concentrate the flavor. Bake on a sheet at 450 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes. Squeeze fresh lemon juice or grate lemon zest over the spinach to ‘brighten.’
Place the roasted spinach in a medium saucepan and add 1-2 ounces of heavy cream and roughly grated Parmesan cheese. Stir, cooking on low heat for a few minutes until well blended.
Spread the spinach mix evenly in a pan or baking dish, and allow to cool. You may also brown the top in the oven.
While still warm, roll the spinach-cheese mixture into 1-2″ balls and place on a baking or cookie sheet. The spinach cheese balls may be browned in the oven a few minutes, or left to cool.
3. Zero Carb Crunchy Chicken Cheese Wrap
Spread zero carb seasonings or mustard on sliced turkey/chicken. Layer the meat with slices of cheese and a few cucumber slices. Cut into squares or roll up.
Eat with celery sticks dipped in full fat Ranch or Blue Cheese dressing.
4. Almost Zero Carb Tuna Avo Salad
Mix a can of tuna with diced boiled eggs, 1 teaspoon chopped green onions, 1/2 avocado, and full fat mayo or salad dressing. Top with zero carb cooked bacon, cut into bits.
5. Zero Carb Spiced Grilled Fish
Grill or bake fish with your favorite zero carb spices to bring out the full flavors. Pair with a spinach salad, full fat dressing or olive oil and lemon.
6. Almost Zero Carb Eggs, Any Way
Versatile eggs are an almost zero carb food. Fried, scrambled, omelets, mini crust-less quiche, boiled, deviled, and of course – egg salad.
Be sure to add a few chopped veggies, 1-2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil, a protein (think bacon, sausage) and plenty of spices to the mix.

7. Zero Carb Parm Cheese Bowls
Fill this Parmesan no carb ‘bowl’ with zero carb salad greens/veggies and a little protein. Top with a rich high fat dressing.
How to Make a Cheese Bowl
Grate Parmesan cheese over a piece of parchment paper. Form the cheese into large circular piles and bake.
When it comes out of the oven, allow to cool slightly. While the cheese discs are still warm, press them over an upside-down glass or bowl.

8. Zero Carb Bacon Bowls
How to Make a Bacon Bowl
- Press slices of Canadian bacon into muffin tin cups.
- Wrap bacon strips around the cups of an upside-down tin.

9. Almost Zero Chocolate Mousse
All the “almost zero carb” favorites are here: butter, heavy cream, a touch of cream cheese… Reduce the cocoa, choose Neuchatel cream cheese, and divide the recipe into four servings instead of three to lower the carbs even more.
